Date: Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
Location: Macky Auditorium

"...exquisitely sculpted movement and a compelling sense that dance springs from a deep well of spiritual urgency." Washington Post

Co-sponsored by Mark H. Carson & Associates, P.C. and WESTAF

New York-based Evidence, led by choreographer and dancer Ronald K. Brown, blends African, modern, ballet, and hip-hop dance styles to tell stories about the human experience. The company focuses on the seamless fusion of traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and spoken word, providing a unique view of human struggles, tragedies, and triumphs. "I want people to have their spirits lifted. I am interested in sharing perspectives through modern dance, theater and kinetic storytelling. I want my work to be evidence of these perspectives," says Brown.
